The main aim of my research is the studying of the effects of pollution on the health and reproductive status of wild animals. Currently I work with different species of reef fish of recreational and commercial interest characteristic of Patagonia. I evaluate different aspects of their immune function, physical condition and reproduction when they live in sites exposed to contaminants , including endocrine disruptors. In addition, with the collaboration of parasitologists, we evaluated the relationship between parasite infection and the health status of these fish.
I also collaborate with projects involving the relationship between immune function and reproduction in bony and cartilaginous fish.
