I have a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and during my degree training I worked in ecology and behavior of seabirds. At the moment I am developing my doctorate in the National University of the Patagonia San Juan Bosco with a fellowship of the Conicet. My thesis project is to determine the effect of the variation in the food supply caused by commercial fishing on the physical condition of the Antarctic cormorant (Phalacrocorax bransfieldensis). I working in colonies located in the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands during the breeding season, determining hematological, immunological and biochemical indicators. In turn, I determine the diet and reproductive parameters. Through the joint evaluation of the physiological and behavioral indicators I try to understand how these birds respond to the changes in the environment and the mechanisms that regulate their populations, in order to generate management and conservation guidelines of the species.
